“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” – Viktor Frankl
Whether it’s due to a sudden life change, old wounds flaring up, or just not feeling like yourself, you’ve hit a juncture in your life where you’re searching for a therapist.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and systems-oriented in a way that remains grounded and steady. While I place high value in autonomy and trust, I don’t shy away from gently challenging you.
Together we can explore patterns, strengthen your sense of self, and explore the narrative of what makes you “you”. Whether you’re in search of practical skills or deeper exploration of your inner world, I’m passionate about meeting you exactly where you are.
If this resonates, you’ve found the right place.
Modalities
-
Humanistic therapy focuses on free will, self-discovery and achieving your full potential as a human being, rather than concentrating on individual problems or symptoms. It looks at everything that makes you who you are and focuses on you as a unique individual and your relationship with the world around you.
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) works to help you identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and to learn practical self-help strategies. CBT focuses on the ways that emotions, thoughts, and behaviors are connected.
-
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a cognitive-behavioral treatment for addressing trauma. The focus is on identifying how traumatic experiences change thoughts and beliefs, and how thoughts influence current feelings and behaviors. An important part of the treatment is addressing ways of thinking that might keep individuals “stuck” and get in the way of recovery from symptoms of PTSD and other problems.
-
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) focuses on teaching four core skills: mindfulness, acceptance & distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT focuses on teaching people skills to manage intense emotions, cope with challenging situations, and improve their relationships.
